Usor:Secundus Zephyrus/1000 paginae sizes
What's this? The following is a dump from the same source code that is used to rank the wikipedias based on the infamous 1000 pages. The number that is listed next to each article is generated by this formula:
(Length of article - length of interwikis - length of hidden text)* weight (i.e. 1.1) = Weighted length of article
What can you do to help? Well, the total wikipedia score is calculated using three different categories of articles:
- Stubs (< 10k)
- Articles (10k - 30k)
- Long Articles (> 30k)
Articles get four times as many points as stubs, and long articles get nine times as many! Therefore, by improving articles which are already close to their next category, we can easily improve our overall score. For example, the length of Adolfus Hitler is 9967.1, so if we just add a few more lines to it we'll greatly improve our score!
I will try to update this often, but I might need reminding. And sorry the articles are listed by their English titles: I just started programming today! --SECUNDUS ZEPHYRUS 03:08, 18 Iulii 2010 (UTC)
