Abbasidae

Abbasidae (-arum m.) (Arabice: العبّاسيّون al-‘Abbāsīyūn) fuerunt dynastia calipharum qui magnam partem musulmanorum regnaverunt ab anno 750, cum caliphatum Omayadarum everterunt, usque ad 1258, cum Mongoles Bagdatum ceperunt. Abbasidae nomen traxerunt a progenitore Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib, Machometi patruo. Caliphatūs Abbasidarum conditor fuit As-Saffah, qui seditione facta anno 750 ad Lycum flumen Marwanum II Omayadam bello superavit et occidit.
