Via Aurelia fuit una viarum consularum ab antiquis Romanis stratarum. Saeculo III a.C.n. medio a consule Aurelio Cotta constructa est et a Roma usque ad Pisas ducta. Iter ab Arelate per Pisas Romam usque in Itinerario Antonini describitur sub titulo "Via Aurelia: A Roma per Tusciam et Alpes Maritimas Arelatum usque" (289,3-299,4).
