Via Egnatia est via antiqua, quae colligabat provinciam Illyricum (hodie Albania) cum Macedonia, Moesia (hodie Bulgaria), Graecia et in Thracia cum urbe Byzantio (nunc Istanbul vocata in Turcia). Iter in Itinerario Antonini partim describitur sub titulo "Iter quod ducit a Durrachio per Macedoniam et Traciam Bizantium usque" (317,3-323,8). Hoc iter, traiectum a Brundisio recapitulans, sic enumeratur:

"A Brundisio traiectus Durachium usque: stadia num. Ī CCCC [1400]
A Dyrrachio Bizantium: m.p. DCCLIIII [754]"

Partim etiam describitur Via Egnatia sub titulo "Item recto itinere ab Hydrunti Aulonam: stadia Ī [1000]; inde per Macedoniam" (329,1-332,9).
