Systema nervosum

Systema nervosum est rete neurale ex cellulis specialibus compositum, quae inter se informationem de circumiectis organismi et de se ipsa communicant. Systema hanc informationem alicubi usurpans reactiones in aliis partibus corporis efficit. Compositum est ex neuronibus et aliis cellulis "glia" appellatis quae actionem neuronum adiuvant.

Systema nervosum in bina systemata dividitur: systema nervosum centrale et systema nervosum peripherale. Systema nervosum centrale est encephalon (cuius pars maximi momenti est cerebrum) et medulla spinalis. Systema nervosum peripherale est collectio omnium nervorum et neuronorum extra encephalone; organa sensoria cum systemate nervoso laborant.

Omnia vertebrata simile systema nervosum habent; apud alia animalia systemata nervosa differunt, quod medullam spinalem non habent.

Inter systematis nervosi morbos sunt ictus, commotio cerebri, encephalitis.
