Swietenia macrophylla (Anglice big-leaf mahogany[1]) est planta florens familiae Meliacearum, in Aequatoria, Beliza, Bolivia, Brasilia, Columbia, Dominica, Guiana Francica, Guadalupa, Guatemala, Guiana, Honduria, Martinica, Mexico, Montserrat, Nicaragua, Ora Opulenta, Panama, Peruvia, Salvatoria, Sancta Lucia, Sanctus Vincentius et Granatinae, Venetiola endemica. Ea est una ex duabus speciebus quae verum lignum durum mahogany appellatum effert, quarum alia est Swietenia mahagoni.
