Rubripurpureus[1] vel rubropurpureus[2] est color plurium plantarum.[3] Est similis coloribus qui linguis vernacularibus "Color Fuchsianeus" scilicet Fuchsia vel "color Maxentius" scilicet magenta vocantur. Fuchsia planta colori Fuchsianeo nomen dedit, oppidum Italianum Castra Maxentia vulgo Magenta nomen colori "Maxentio" dedit. Eum nomen color exinde ab anno 1860 habet. Hoc oppidum post proelium Maxentium anni 1859 valde in ambitu mundi percrebrescebat.
