Maria Baker Eddy (nata Mary Morse Baker Bow in vico Neohantoniensi die 16 Iulii 1821; mortua Newton in oppido Massachusettensi die 3 Decembris 1910) fuit dux religionis et auctor Americana, quae Ecclesia Christi Scientistae? in Nova Anglia anno 1879 condidit.[1][2] Etiam The Christian Science Monitor anno 1908 condidit, diarium profanum, quod septem Praemia Pulitzerana vicerit,[3] ac tris magazinas religiosas: Christian Science Sentinel, The Christian Science Journal, et The Herald of Christian Science. Multos libros et commentarios scripsit et edidit, quorum insignissimus erat Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, qui plus novem milliones exemplarium usque ad annum 2001 vendiderat.[4]
