Gulielmus Carolus Williams (17 Septembris 18834 Martii 1963) fuit poeta Americanus cum modernismo poetico et imagismo arte conectus. Etiam fuit medicus (paediatricianus) et medicus generalis cui fuit gradus medicus a Schola Medicinae Universitatis Pennsilvaniae concessus. Williams "diligentius laboravit scriptor quam medicus,"[1] sed in conatibus ambobus excelluit.[2] [3] De momento et significatione artis poeticae, Williams insigniter scripsit:
