Salve, WillowW!

Ave! Spero te "Vicipaedianum" aut "Vicipaedianam" fieri velle!

Libenter quaestiones aerumnasve ullas me pete. Grata ;] apud nos!--Ioshus Rocchio 14:58, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aha, so that's who you are, good to know =]. Actually the first article I did here was a translation of the week for E=mc², so I'm into scientific articles myself. Just show me when you're finished and I'll gladly correct what I can. You might also want to check out our page of the month Theoria Chordarum. Good luck!--Ioshus Rocchio 15:25, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS, maybe you want to set up a babel box, see Vicipaedia:Babel formulae, you can find one that suits you, and you can let others know your latin isn't where you would like it to be, yet. Also, if you have written something here, the latin of which you are not sure about, add {{reddenda}} to the top, or if you are sure of the latin-sure that it's bad that is-you can also put {{maxcorrigenda}}. Peace!--Ioshus Rocchio 15:25, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Josh, thanks for your nice (and speedy) note! :) It's great to meet a fellow science-enthusiast right away. Are there many of us here? I'll confess, though, I also have a marshmallowy affection for medieval stories about cute animals, like St. Jerome and the lion. ;)

I already have a question -- how do I link to my en.wikipedia user page and en.wikisource pages? They seem not to show up on my Usor page here. Thanks for your help! WillowW 15:51, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

There are a few people here into science and science articles, but not a whole lot. Mostly, it seems to be european history, philosophy, geography, and ecclesiastical things. I try and get involved everywhere, but especially in languages/linguistics, science/math, music, and modern culture. To do what you wanted about inserting interwiki links in text, do this:

[[:en:User:WillowW]], with the colon before the language code...otherwise the software assumes it is a link to the same page on a different wikimedia project, and puts it in the bottom left corner, like in an article (i got it to appear as text and not as a link by typing "< nowiki >" (but without the spaces between bracket and text), view the source).--Ioshus Rocchio 16:16, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, did I err when I welcomed you? Should I have said "Grata es apud nos"?--Ioshus Rocchio 16:19, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, thanks! :)
I'm still having a little trouble with the interwiki linking. I got it to work, but I wasn't sure how to link to the English version of wikisource. Does the "en" prefix go before or after wikisource? I left it out altogether and it seemed to work, but that seemed -- parochial. ;) Thanks for your help! :D WillowW 16:55, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I noticed also on your english page, you are an INFP, however will we get along?! I'm ENTJ!--Ioshus Rocchio 22:29, 20 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]
(spiratione profunda; oportet Latinum practicare -- corrigenda!) Ubi eam studuisti? Gratias ob laudem paginarum scientificarum mearum, at scias, modo etiam disco latinam, sicut tu =]. Roga, quaeso, si non quod scripsi intelleges. Si vis nuntia in tua dispuationis pagina latine scribier, vide hanc formulam babelis:

{{Formula:Nuntii latine placent}}

Huic usori maxime placent nuntia Latine scripta in pagina sua disputationis.

Et alteram, exemplar cuius visi in pagina tua anglica:

{{Formula:Usor aliislinguis}}

... Hic usor conloqui aliis linguis discere vult.

Vale nunc!--Ioshus Rocchio 18:36, 21 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Salve, Ioshe et gratias! :)

:) Salix 18:07, 22 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Help pages[fontem recensere]

I've seen you have some questions. We have already some help pages, see Index or Categoria:Vicipaedia. Some of the pages have interwiki links to the corresponding pages in other wikis. BTW, you could link to your English page via an interwiki link as well en:User:WillowW (without ":"). These links you'll find in the left frame. There you can link back with "la:Usor:WillowW". Especially for links see our page Vicipaedia:Nexus and her/its translations. If you can add content to those help pages (maybe just translations fom the English pages) or can add questions to answer ... please do it. ;-) --Roland2 05:12, 21 Iunii 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Quippe, certe opera tua inspiciam.

confessio[fontem recensere]

Hey, I'll try english a second too. The world cup, as you'll see from my user page, is a bad time for me =]. I tend to soccerize to the point of obsession, neglecting any and all other responsibilities. I have a notepad file full of notes on the additatmentum, and I promise to give a full report on that and the confessio within the week (there are breaks in the world cup at this stage in the knockout rounds, since there are so few teams, they need to rest, so I'll have some time ;]). Talk to you soon, and happy 4th if I don't talk to you before then!--Ioshus Rocchio 00:37, 1 Iulii 2006 (UTC)[reply]
