Iuvenis Ciampi, in Schola Normali Superiore Pisarum, Graecorum ac Romanorum Litterarum et, apud Universitatem Pisarum, Iuris Prudentiae doctoris insigne consecutus est; Secundo Totius Orbis Terrarum Bello e manibus Germanorum effugit et postea Labronicam Actionis Partis partitionem constituit.

Anno 1956 Ciampi curator Italiae Argentariae Mensae Publicae operam dare cepit; anno 1978 generalis moderator et anno insequenti rector factus est.

Anno 1993 Aprili mense Ciampi praeses consilii ministrorum delectus est.

Anno 1996 Pecuniarum Rationis atque Aerari minister factus est et hoc munere functus est usque ad annum 1999, quo Rei Publicae praeses electus est.

Anno 2006 Ciampi praeses iterum creari noluit, ergo senator in perpetuum evasit.
