Austrolestes (ab austro + Graeco λῃστής 'latro'[1][2]) est genus insectorum familiae Lestidarum subordinis Zygopterorum.[3] Invenitur in Australia, Nova Zelandia, certisque Australasiae regionibus.

Magnitudo est media ad magnam. Mas est caeruleus clarissimus et niger; femina, sordidior.[4][5] Alis omnino plicatis sedent, contra species generis Lestis, quae alas procul a corpore tollunt.[1]
