Zosteropidae sunt parvae aves ordinis Passeriformium quae in Africa sub-Saharana tropica, subtropica, et temperata, Asia meridiana et orientali, et Australasia inveniuntur. Plurimas insulas tropicas in Oceano Indico, Oceano Pacifico occidentali, et Sinu Guineae habitant. Praeter paucas generis Zosteropis species, plurimae species sunt in insulis singulis vel archipelagis endemicae. Post annum 1855, Zosterops lateralis Novam Zelandiam naturaliter coloniam deducit, ubi tauhau 'alienigena' Maorice appellatur; etiam in Insulas Societatis in Polynesia Francica introductus est, cum Zosterops japonicus in Havaios introduceretur.
