Melastomastrum capitatum (binomen post Martino Vahl ab Abílio et Rosette Fernandes statutum) est species plantarum familiae Melastomatacearum in Africa tropicali endemica. Folia ab hominibus stomacho dolentibus atque etiam a Panibus troglodytis morbo afflictis glutiuntur.[1]
