Philadelphiae et in urbe Pennsauken Novae Caesareae educata est. Technologiae medicae studuit apud universitatem Rutgersensem munerique biotechnologico in nosocomio Presbyteriano Philadelphiensi aliquot annos functa est. Anthropologiae autem mox studuit apud universitatem Temple ubi anno 1983 gradum doctoris ascendit. In Israële sed maiori parte in Amazonia et Mesoamerica operam dedit. Erudita senior emerita agnoscitur tam apud museum Nationale Historiae Naturalis Vasingtoniense quam apud Institutum Smithsonianum Inquisitionum Tropicalium Balboae in Panama.
