Gratias ago ut fasciculum oneravisti. Necesse autem est fontem et licentiam vel permissum indicare. Nisi hoc facias, fasciculum deleri debet. Deinde, melius est imagines in Vicimedia Communia onerare, quia imagines ibi oneratae in cunctis Vicipaediis (et in aliis inceptis Vicimedia) adhiberi possunt, non solum in Vicipaedia Latina.
Thank you for uploading a file. However, it is necessary to specify the source and the licence, otherwise the file must be deleted. Please see commons:Commons:First steps (available in other languages as well). Furthermore, it is better to upload images not to the Latin wikipedia, but to Commons. That way, the image can be used not only by the Latin wikipedia (in exactly the same way as if it were uploaded here!) but also by the other wikipedias and Wikimedia projects. Thanks for the hint (and I am happy that I do not have to answer in Latin) ! The Te Deum was recorded by myself. I sang it myself and mixed it to one trace after having applied artificial cathedral reverb. Therefore it is absolutely public domain. I don't find the use of Commons that easy and transparent. Why are there national uploads offered at all, if there is a better international solution ? Bautsch 14:12, 21 Iunii 2006 (CEST)
- Thank you very much for your clarification that you created the work yourself and that you placed in the public domain. I added the template {{PD-self}} to the file's description page accordingly.
- You are right that it is not very easy to find your way around Commons the first time you visit it. But after a short while one manages. The reason why there is still local upload is that some local projects are less strict than Commons. For example, you can upload files that are considered “fair use” to the English wikipedia (under U.S. law this is OK), but not to commons (since civil law countries such as most European states have nothing similar to “fair use”). Currently, I am helping a bit to clean up the mess of files here on the Latin wikipedia … Greetings, --UV 21:56, 23 Iunii 2006 (UTC)
