Sergio, cur delevisti paginam Portus Magnus?

how to communicate[fontem recensere]
Sorry but I have to use English, I'm just starting with Latin... how I can comminicate with other people in this site? I don't really know to do it...
- The most direct way is to write a message in the discussion page of the user you want to talk to. Another way is the discussion page of an article.
- Most users will respond in the place where the discussion was started. So if you write in the discussion page of an article, they will respond there, and if you write in the user's discussion page, he/she will mostly answer you in the same place (in his/her own discussion page). Hint: You can watch pages (custodire), and when you click on paginae custoditae on the top of the screen, you see all pages that you watch and that have changed recently.
- So if you create or modify an article or leave a message in a discussion page, it is a good idea to watch this page, and to check paginae custoditae regularly.
- By the way: Why did you clear the page Portus Magnus?

- preview function
- sorry for bothering, but I have another request: I noticed that you saved the same page several times within a short period of time. Did you know there is a preview function? Please use the button Monstrare praevisum before saving a page. For more information, please see m:Help:Show preview. Thank you, and have fun with the Latin wikipedia! --UV 22:45, 21 Maii 2006 (UTC)
La Unión & uploading images[fontem recensere]
Salve! Thanks a lot for your answer... Well, I edited 'Portus Magnus' because I believed that my city (La Unión, Murcia, Spain) was called 'Portus...'. But I noticed that actually Portus Magnus was the name given to 'Portman' -a municipal district which belongs to La Unión- so I guess it's not completely correct to say that La Unión was 'Portus Magnus'... Anyway, I have edited La Unión as 'Union' (is it right?). I have to go, I'll try to make small contributions (as I have started with the latin just a few weeks ago). By the way, I don't know how to upload images, I'll try to learn it somehow... All the best Sergio
- ok, now I understand. It may be easier to move a page (movere) instead of starting a new one, as other people will wonder and will not notice the connection between the two pages. (By the way, Union was moved to Unio as the Latin word could be unio, unionis f.)
- Uploading images: please upload images to http://commons.wikimedia.org/ – that way, images will be available not only to the Latin wikipedia, but to all other wikipedias as well.
- Greetings, --UV 01:04, 22 Maii 2006 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[fontem recensere]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Sergio. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Sergio~lawiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
