Thanks for your work on this, UV. Think we could get buttons for sub/superscript, center, big, small, and strikeout?--Ioshus (disp) 16:25, 14 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added buttons for super/subscript and strikeout (although strikeout occurs rarely in articles, it may still be useful on talk pages). If you have an idea on how to translate the respective contents of "speedTip" and "sampleText", please do change them.
I am a bit hesitant regarding center, big and small – do we really want our users to use this kind of formatting? I fear that new users might create "headings" e. g. by combining big and center, which would reduce consistency wrt formatting. What do you think about this? --UV 21:41, 14 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You have a point, I was merely thinking of my own laziness. =]
  1. speedTip...is this tip like the point of a spear? or like advice?
  2. sampleText fortasse sit => exemplumTextus, vel exemplarisTextus.

sorry for not being clear. If you look at MediaWiki:Onlyifediting.js, you will see lines starting with "speedTip" or "sampleText". It is not the words "speedTip" or "sampleText" themselves that need translation (on the contrary, they must not be translated) but the text that follows.
The text that follows "speedTip" is the text that is displayed when you hover your mouse over the button. The text that follows "sampleText" is the text that is inserted into the page when you click the button at a time when no text is highlighted in the edit window. I translated some of them, but for the others, no good translation came to my mind. Thanks! --UV 23:05, 14 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Probably better, indeed.--Ioshus (disp) 18:13, 15 Ianuarii 2007 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean, UV?--Ioshus (disp) 21:59, 28 Maii 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I was trying to implement the dropdown box version of edittools as can be seen on the German wikipedia or on commons. Some time ago, Iustinus found it was cool. However, I did not succeed yet. When I have some more time, I will try again. Greetings, --UV 18:14, 3 Iunii 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wow...that is cool.--Ioshus (disp) 19:29, 3 Iunii 2007 (UTC)[reply]
took a long while, but seems to work now! If something does not work as desired, please complain here on this talk page or on Disputatio MediaWiki:Edittools. Thanks! --UV 21:02, 13 Ianuarii 2008 (UTC)[reply]
