Categoria:Operae Italiane sitae[fontem recensere]

= 'Operas set in Italian'. A useful concept, whether the Latin is its best rendition or not. It belongs among categories for operas set in English, French, German, Russian, etc. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 12:05, 10 Septembris 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I see. I tried to understand it but concluded it was a lapsus linguae! I've never seen "situs" used in that way.
I think "Operae Italiane scriptae" would make sense. I agree it's a useful grouping as long as you intend to apply it to existing pages. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:16, 10 Septembris 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Set in Spain[fontem recensere]

Why should we doubt that the opera is set in Spain (or Iberia, to be vaguer)? The catalog aria implies it: "In Italia seicento e quaranta; / In Alemagna duecento e trentuna; / Cento in Francia, in Turchia novantuna; / Ma in Ispagna [manifesto ubi sumus!] son già mille e tre."
