Diogenidae sunt familia paguroideorum, aliquando paguroidea manu laeva appellatorum quia, contra alia paguroidea, eius chela laeva maior est. Familia comprehendit 429 species exstantes,[2] et 46 species exstinctas.[1] Qua pro causa familia est secunda a maxima paguroideorum maritimorum familia, post Paguridas.[3]
