Os hyoideum[1] sive hyoides[2][3] est parvum os infra linguam, solum ossium corporis, quod cum aliis ossibus non colligatum est. Nonnullis in Tetrapodis (velut Chamaeleonidis) os hyoideum linguam sustinet rigidamque facit, itaque potest linguae extroflexione fungi.
