Ecclesia cathedralis Roffensis in Cantia visitatur. Dioecese Roffensi anno 604 constituta, prima ecclesia iam ruinosa, episcopus Gundulphus anno fere 1080 cathedralem novam Roffae in urbe construere coepit quam a successoribus Ernulpho et Ioanne perfectam anno 1133 rite consecravit Willelmus de Corbolio archiepiscopus Cantuariensis. Turrem autem episcopus Hamo Hethe anno 1343 erigendam curavit.

Aevo recentiori restitutionem ecclesiae Georgius Gilbertus Scott inter annos 1871 et 1874 curavit.^[1]
