myōga vs. mioga[fontem recensere]

"No, no," inquit Iustinus, "the Japanese name is myōga, the Latin name is mioga!"—Quid est "the Japanese name"? Mihi videtur 茗荷!!! Hoc myōga nescio. Quia nomen capitis Tocio scribimus (quamquam aliquando Tōkyō visum), idcirco nobis oportet hanc vocem mioga scribere, non? IacobusAmor 20:02, 29 Decembris 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's an issue of transliteration vs. translation. Compare Hebrew: שַׁבָּת, Romanized šabbåṯ, Latinized sabbata --Iustinus 01:59, 30 Decembris 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and I should have mentioned: Tocio is my fault. It really should be moved to an attested form such as Tochium, Tokium, Tochienum. --Iustinus 03:31, 31 Decembris 2008 (UTC)[reply]
