Versio tituli[fontem recensere]

According to the translation I have, Gylfaginning means "the tricking of Gylfi" rather than hallucination or vision. En:wiki seems to say the same. Is that correct? Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 10:01, 9 Martii 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That is in fact correct. According to Zoega "ginning" is a deception, a befooling, from ginna "to dupe, fool one", though it has been always translated as the Vision or Hallucination, but in fact is literally "the fooling of Gylfi". I will correct this right away, thanks for the heads up!--Didacus 06:54, 11 Maii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
