Scalptura=Engraving?[fontem recensere]
Is scalptura the best word for engraving? Scalpo -are definitely means to engrave/chisel/carve. LionhardusCiampa 13:15, 3 Septembris 2007 (UTC)
- But then again, so doesn't caelo -are. Maybe caelatura ligni? Or for that matter scalptura ligni. LionhardusCiampa 03:41, 4 Septembris 2007 (UTC)
Cothena[fontem recensere]
Cothena was used exclusively in ALL literature (usually as Cothenis Anhaltinorum). Perhaps it would therefore be best to rename this article Cothena, and merely mention Cotha as a possible alternate form because it is mentioned by Graesse.--Dunnhaupt 20:54, 15 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
- If you have the cite, I say go for it. --Ioscius (disp) 21:56, 15 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you! I have hundreds of citations of Cothena, none of Cotha. But I don't know how to make this change in Wiki. Can you help?--Dunnhaupt 09:50, 18 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I've moved it. But please either add a footnote reference to a sample source, or else cite a sample source here (as precisely as possible!) so that we can add it as a footnote. Thanks! Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 09:55, 18 Iunii 2008 (UTC)
