Ioannes Scylitzes, Synopsis historiarum: Bibliotheca Nationalis Hispanica Cod. Vitr. 26-2 f. 10v (saec. XII) (Textus respectivus)

Synopsis historiarum (Graece Σύνοψις ἱστοριῶν) est opus Ioannis Scylitzae, saeculo XI scriptum. Ibi res gestae Byzantinae narrantur ab anno 811, quo Nicephoro I interfecto filius Stauracius iam letali vulnero percussus brevissime imperavit, usque ad 1057, quo anno Michael VI Stratioticus imperium abdicavit. Opus postea ab anonymo quodam (sed, secundum nonnullos eruditos, ab eodem Scylitza) continuatum est usque ad annum 1081; textus hodie separatim sub titulo "Scylitzes continuatus" recognoscitur.
