Montis Atho tabula

Athos (Graece: Ἅθως, recentius saepe Ἅγιον Ὄρος, 'Mons Sacer') est Res publica monastica Orthodoxa autonoma sub auctoritate civitatis Graeciae. In homonymo digito dextro paeninsulae Chalcidicis in regione administrativa Macedonia Centrali situs est. Terra fere 336 km² comprehendit et 2262 incolarum (monachos) habet, ad hoc variabilem numerum operariorum laicorum. Sermone cottidiano, (Mons) Athos modo totam paeninsulam cum re publica monastica, modo solum ipsum montem in paeninsula meridiana significat, cui altitudo 2033 metrorum est. Caput administrationis est oppidum parvum nomine Caryae.
