Rogerius Brooke Taney

Rogerius Brooke Taney (17 Martii 177712 Octobris 1864) fuit duodecimus Iurisconsultus Generalis Civitatum Foederatarum et quintus Summus Iudex Civitatum Foederatarum, ab anno 1836 ad mortem, primus Catholicus Romanus qui hoc munus sustinuit. Vir notissimus est qui sententiam iudicii in Dred Scott v. Sandford, re quae diiudicavit Americanos Africanos, cum haberentur "ordinis inferioris et omnino indigni se consociare cum gente alba" tempore Constitutionis scriptae, haberi non potesse cives Civitatum Foederatarum.
