Cifra est par numerus.[1][2] Id est, paritas-qualitas numeri integris paris an imparis- est par. Pactum simplicissimum ad probandum cifram parem esse, est quaerere si idoneum sit definitione "par" : sit multiplis duorum, praecipue, 0 × 2. Quam obrem, cifra proprietates omnes communicat qualis par numerus est: divisibilis a 2, coniunctibus utrisque lateribus imparibus numeris.[3]
