Disquisitio scientifica est notio qua intelligimus "opus creativum et systematicum ad notitias augendas".[1] Quae notitiarum collectionem, ordinationem, et analysim cuiuspiam rei comprehendit. Proiectum disquisitorium expandere potest opus temporis transacti in disciplina. Ad validitatem instrumentorum, procedurarum, experimentorumve examinandum, ipsa disquisito priorum proiectorum ipsiusve proiecti elementa copiare potest.

Praecipua disquisitionis fundamentalis proposita (e contra disquisitio adhibita) sunt tabulae praebendae, detectio, interpretatio et disquisitio progressusque methodorum systematumque ad notitias humanas increscendas. Viae quibus disquisitio appropinquatur ab epistemologicis rationibus dependet, quae inter intraque humanitates et scientias graviter variantur. Exstant varia disquisitionis genera: scientifica, humana, artificia, oeconomica, socialia, mercatoria, technologica etc. Disquisitoriarum praxeon studium scientificum nuncupatur metaeurena.
