disputatio mota ex pagina Disputatio Categoriae:Homines Britanniarum Regni[fontem recensere]

Should the new category be called "Britanni" (I somehow overlooked that one in Categoria:Homines secundum terram! Sorry!) or "Homines Britanniae" (taking into account what Andrew Dalby wrote in Disputatio Categoriae:Homines Anglici? --Iovis Fulmen 19:44, 10 Augusti 2008 (UTC)[reply]

And just to clarify my position: I created "Britanni" but I would now prefer "Homines Britanniae". It may be unstylish Latin but it is a more neutral term, and, when you want to put people in useful categories quickly, the more neutral the better.
In any such case where we might want to rename an existing populated category, the neat move is (after discussion if necessary) to set it as a task for UVbot. UV seems to like doing this! and it is much quicker than manual renaming. Make the request on the page Vicipaedia:Automata/Category move requests. To conclude the discussion above: this has now been done, the preferred form finally being Incolae Britanniae. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 09:54, 9 Decembris 2008 (UTC)[reply]
