{{delete|Probably ''autopromotion spamming'' beyound significance. She has an wp-article in 43 languages, even though she has hardly played outside Italy. In comparision [[Roberto Benigni]] appears in 34 and [[Isabella Rossellini]] i 19 languages}}

Yes, you're surely right that this is spamming. As you know, Vicipaedia's usual response in such a case is not to delete her but to add her to Vicipaedia:Propaganda (which I will now do) and to retain a brief article. Others will no doubt comment ... Thank you for the alert, Orland. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:54, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Further investigation shows that this page is unlike most others in the propaganda list in that it has been created by a named user, Usor:Lodewijk Vadacchino, who has also contributed to a couple of other lavish cross-wiki spreads (and has contributed in other ways as well). So it certainly isn't "auto-promotion"! I'll ask him to comment: it would be interesting to know how he chooses his subjects. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 15:04, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The norwegian version was made by a (in the words of Lenin(?)) Useful idiot (probably not the best translation), who hade been kindly asked to contribute by some agent acting in the interest of Ms Pagnani. This might well be the pattern in this case. --Orland 19:16, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
The Swedish wiki deleted the deletion proposal. --Neander 19:51, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Yes several wikis deleted the proposal, but some have started an proper deletion process, as well. My first impression was that this was self-promotion, but it has now come to my knowledge that the article, and the wide distribution of it, was made as a gift from a italian wikipedian to this actress, because it was christmas, and because she was expecting a baby. (See no:Brukerdiskusjon:Orland#Whi Lola Pagnani was removed?). Seriously!! --Orland 20:38, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
It is interesting, isn't it? It perhaps gets a little over-the-top when other Wikipedians are pressed to join in the game (see sr:Разговор:Лола Пањани); otherwise, as long as the subject meets the basic requirement for notability, it's hard to argue that the wikipedias are being misused. After all, people have all sorts of reasons for starting pages: Lodewijk just starts them in lots of languages! Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 20:49, 24 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
See, however, my further comment at Disputatio Usoris:Lodewijk Vadacchino. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 16:08, 25 Ianuarii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No one else has urged deletion. OK, Lola is saved. Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 14:24, 2 Martii 2009 (UTC)[reply]
