The sources give us plenty of choices. The term "mare dulce" is often cited, but I haven't found it used in Latin text in the context of Nicaragua.
There's no need to move, unless we prefer the term "Lacus Nicaraguensis" as being simpler to deal with in Latin (since "Lacus Nicaragua" has the appearance of two genders). Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 11:13, 16 Iunii 2017 (UTC)
