Iapia?? Iapicus -a -um?? Where are we getting these forms? They seem pretty silly to me; are we getting them from a source, or are they made up? Certainly the Romans never heard of Japan, but Iaponia for the country, Iapones for the people and Iaponicus -a -um for the adjective seem to be pretty firmly set in Modern Latin. Certainly there are exceptions, e.g. Giampetro Maffei uses Iapo for the country and Iaponenses for the people, Michael Pexenfelder uses both Japan and Japonia. But Japia!?!??! Please explain yourself. --172.137.64.227 05:26 feb 20, 2005 (UTC)
