Dusseldorpium is not a good translation. It is more correct to use the original germanic word of the Duessl: thusila. Therefore it will be more correct to translate it into Vicus ad Thusilam.

Also the Romans took already existing names to name already existing villages and places.

Dusseldorpium sound more like my dialect here in this Duesseldorf, just with an -ium as ending.

1. We should not be inventing words, but to use those already in use. Google search for books containing 'Dusseldorpium'. Vicipaedia guidelines for rendering foreign names.
