[fontem recensere]I actually have little idea about how e.g. Linnæus employed the new word mammalium. Did he write "ordo mammaliorum"; or did he treat "mammalius" as an adjective in such contexts?? Georgius B 18:55, 26 Februarii 2010 (UTC)
- Salve Gregori! I'm not sure myself, having never read Linnaeus ipsissimus, but mammal is a singular neuter noun, the genitive plural of which would definitely be mammalium so ordo mammalium is already just fine grammatically! --Ioscius∞ 19:05, 26 Februarii 2010 (UTC)
