Dotilla et Scopimera sunt taxa.

[fontem recensere]

"Not a taxon," it's said, but if Vicipaedia follows Wikipedia's lead, this is the only article the genera Dotilla and Scopimera will have (with redirects to this article from those names). If those genera deserve & get their own articles, then and only then will the cry of "not a taxon" have relevance here. IacobusAmor 16:21, 2 Augusti 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Melius lemma desideratum

[fontem recensere]

Since bullare is intransitive (as is bullire, its close relative), the present lemma is unsatisfactory. What verb is better? Perhaps inflare ? or something else? ¶ For that matter, can useful generalizations be made about how to translate English phrases showing the syntax of NOUN-VERBing NOUN (e.g., sand-bubbling crab)? Of course special compounds sometimes exist for the NOUN-VERBing part (e.g., stigmatifer 'stigma-bearing', zymogenus 'fermentation-producing', etc.). IacobusAmor 17:28, 2 Augusti 2011 (UTC)[reply]
