Venumdat[fontem recensere]

Venumdo, "to sell, used chiefly of the sale of captured slaves (not in Cic.)"? Lesgles (disputatio) 23:24, 28 Februarii 2015 (UTC)

Cassell's: to offer for sale, to sell; esp. of captives'. The suggested point is the offering, not the selling. Whether that consideration trumps the ancient association with the trade in captives is unknown over here. IacobusAmor (disputatio) 23:29, 28 Februarii 2015 (UTC)
As a term for what pedlars, shopkeepers and marketing people do, we can also use "venditare" (classical). Andrew Dalby (disputatio) 12:58, 1 Martii 2015 (UTC)
