Beaumontius et Fletcherus
Beaumontius et Fletcherus[1] fuerunt Franciscus Beaumontius et Ioannes Fletcherus, scriptores scaenici Anglici, qui ludos scaenicos una scribere solebant, Iacobo primo regnante (1603–25). Par ab ineunte vitae cursu agnosci coeperunt, tam prope quam eorum nomina coniuncta ad totum canonem Fletcheranum adhiberentur, suis operibus solum suisque ludis cum Philippo Massinger, Nathan Field, atque aliis scriptoribus compositis non exclusis. Primum Beaumontii et Fletcheri folium impressum (1647) triginta quinque ludos, alterum (1679) quinquaginta tres continebat. Cum aliis scriptis, canon operum est circa quinquaginta quinque.
