eius/sui[fontem recensere]

Se and suus refer "to the subject of the sentence or clause in which they stand" (Bradley's Arnold, #349). Ergo:

Pyramus, quoniam parentes sui = 'Pyramus, since his own parents'

Pyramus, quoniam parentes eius = 'Pyramus, since his (i.e., someone else's) parents'
