ac (atque)

I've changed ac to et. The original resolved itself to: Praia est urbs circa 113000 incolarum ac caput Promontorii Viridis 'Praia is a city of 113,000 inhabitants and even the capital of Cape Verde'. This ac (atque) = 'and besides, and even, and especially, and further, and indeed'. Such emphasis is unhelpful here—and in many places where modern writers use ac.
