Summarium

Descriptio
English: Originally identified as Urocyon cinereoargenteus, under the Spanish name zorro gris (directly translated "gray fox"), at América's zoo, Argentina. However, gray foxes have a very different shape and cinnamon sides, which this one does not. According to an anonymous edit on the article for the pampas fox on en.wiki (IP 77.255.120.124 on 10:38, 8 April 2010), the photo shows that species, the pampas fox (Lycalopex [Pseudalopex] gymnocercus). Furthermore, zorro gris in Argentina typically involves one of THEIR native foxes that largely are gray, i.e. the South American gray fox (Lycalopex [Pseudalopex] griseus) or, less frequently, the pampas fox (Lycalopex [Pseudalopex] gymnocercus). The two species are quite similar.
