A map of Thrace with respect to modern political boundaries (i.e. the Bulgarian provinces that were formerly East Rumelia, plus the Greek provinces formerly part of the vilâyet of Edirne, plus the Turkish part of Europe which includes the rest of the vilâyet of Edirne and part of the vilâyet of Constantinople). These fairly closely correspond to the boundaries of the ancient Roman province of Thrace. Based upon image:nuevo mapa de los balcanes.png, with substantial modifications by myself, chiefly using the GIMP. QuartierLatin1968 22:06, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

This historical map image could be re-created using vector graphics as an SVG file. This has several advantages; see Commons:Media for cleanup for more information. If an SVG form of this image is available, please upload it and afterwards replace this template with {{vector version available|new image name}}.

It is recommended to name the SVG file “Thrace modern state boundaries.svg”—then the template Vector version available (or Vva) does not need the new image name parameter.
