Summarium

Descriptio
English: This patient is displaying a bodily posture known as "opisthotonos" due to Clostridium tetani exotoxin. Generalized tetanus, the most common type (about 80%) usually presents with a descending pattern, starting with trismus or lockjaw, followed by stiffness of the neck, difficulty in swallowing, and rigidity of abdominal muscles.

Magyar: Ez a páciens a Clostridium tetani baktériumfertőzés következtében termelődő exotoxin miatt hátizomgörcs („opisthotonos”) néven ismert testtartást mutat. Az általános tetanuszos merevgörcs, a leggyakoribb típus (körülbelül 80%), általában csökkenő százalékkal jelentkezik. Triszmusszal vagyis szájzárral kezdődik, majd a nyak merevsége, nyelési nehézség és a hasi-mellkasi rendszer izmainak merevsége, idegeinek bénulása miatt következik be, megfelelő kezelés híján az illető halálát okozva.
