Willard Richardson Espy
Willard Richardson Espy (Olympiae Vasingtoniae die 11 Decembris 1910; mortuus Manhatae Novi Eboraci die 20 Februarii 1999) fuit editor, philologus, scriptor, poeta, et scriptor historiae locorum Americanus. Qui Oysterville in oppidulo maritimo Vasingtoniae educatus, Universitatem Redlands in California frequentavit antequam editor Novi Eboraci factus est, commentariorum et ephemerorum auctor, qui operam Reader's Digest, The New Yorker, Punch, aliisque periodicis populo gratis dedit.
Annis 1960 libros de philologia edere coepit, cum collectionibus poematum, et inter notissimos commentatores de ludo verborum sui temporis numeratus est.[1] Anno 1977, Oysterville: Roads to Grandpa's Village ('Oyserville: Viae ad avi pagum'), mythistoriam semi-autobiographicam optime venumdatam protulit, hereditatem suae familiae in civitate Oysterville tractans. In Valetudinario Novi Eboraci Manhatae anno 1999 mortuus, corpus in Coemeterio Oystervillensi sepultum est.
Eius poemata levia operibus Ludovici Carroll, W. S. Gilbert, Ogden Nash, et Cole Porter aequiparata sunt.[2]
