1H). Vix anno 1934 a chemista Ernesto Rutherford, Marco Oliphant et Paulo Herteck e fusione deuterii inventum est, quia et in universo et in tellure rarissimum est (1 pro 1018 atomis hydrogenii). Plerumque in moleculis dihydrogenii versatur. Rutherford tritium invenit duobus deuterii nucleis fusis secundum reactionem: D + D → T + H. Hodie minus rarum est quia in reactris nuclearibus creatur.[1]
Atomi tritii particulas beta (electrones) emittunt atque paulatim in helium-3 mutantur, semivitā duodecim annorum et triente. Helium fit secundum reactionem infrascriptam:

Aquae quoque incorporatur tritium quae tunc aqua tritiata(en) dicitur. Illane aqua saluti nocere possit disputatur.[2]
