A usque annum 1964 Bucarestae et ad annum 1968 Genavae iurisprudentiae studebat. Ibi etiam anno 1973 scientiae politicae et iuris internationalis doctor promotus est. Ab anno 1966 legatus Romaniae atque annis 1990 - 1992 legatus in Administerio rerum exterarum Romaniae operam dedit.

Cursus honorum[recensere | fontem recensere]

A die 19 Novembris 1992 ad usque 11 Decembris 1996 ipse Administer rerum exterarum in consilio ministrorum Nicolaudis Văcăroiu fuit. Anno 1996 senator electus est, quamquam nullius factionis sodalis erat, et ad annum 2000 mansit. Anno 1997 cum sodalibus antiquis Factionis Socialis Democraticae novam factionem Alianța pentru România (Foedus pro Romania) condidit atque eius praeses fuit. Anno 2001 haec factio cum alia ad Factionem Nationalem Liberalem consociata est, cuius praeses vicarius factus est. Annis 2004 - 2012 iterum senator erat. A die 7 Aprilis 2007 ad usque 22 Decembris 2008 administer munitionis in consulio ministrorum Călini Popescu-Tăriceanu erat. A die 15 Ianuarii ad usque 29 Februarii 2008 praeterea ad interim administer rerum internarum fuit. Annis 2012 - 2014 praeses vigilum clandestinorum Romaniae fuit, sed mense Septembri 2014 ab hoc magistratu se recessit, ut candidatus praesidis rei publicae esset. Sed primo suffragio die 2 Novembris victus est[1]. Die 10 Novembris 2014 Victor Ponta praeses ministrorum eum iterum administrum rerum exterarum Romaniae nominavit, postquam antecessor eius Titus Corlățean a magistratu se recessit, quod Dacoromanici extra patriam viventes suffragio praesidis die 2 Novembris 2014 interesse non potuerunt[2]. Ipse Meleșcanu die 18 Novembris 2014 eadem de causa se recessit, quod et die 16 Novembris secundo suffragio non omnes cives apud legationes Romaniae in civitatibus alienis suffragia ferre licuerunt[3]. Die 4 Ianuarii 2017 in consilio ministrorum Sorin Grindeanu iterum minister rerum externarum nominatus est[4]. Hunc magistratum et in consilio ministrorum Michaelis Tudose a die 29 Iunii eiusdem anni tenet[5].
