Sthenurus est genus animalium exstinctorum familiae Macropodidarum, quae in Australia olim vixerunt. Ossa in loco archaeologico Cuddie Springs Novae Cambriae Australis atque alibi reperta sunt.

Sthenurus ('cui cauda robusta est') est nomen zoologicum a Ricardo Owen anno 1873 compositum ex verbis Graecis σθένος 'vis, robur' et οὖρος 'cauda'.
