What does "ratio" mean here? An account... a theory? Don't you mean methodus? --Rafaelgarcia 19:46, 7 Maii 2008 (UTC) |

:I intended to say "method" or "approach" (how to do sth.), which I looked up in my dictionary. |
:Here is what the dictionary says exactly: "Methode" (which is the German word for "method"/"approach"): |
:*ratio |
:*via |
:*disciplina |
:*ars |
:Ratio came first and I also found this meaning of the word when I searched in the other direction: "ratio, -onis f." = "Methode, planmäßiges Verfahren (methodical procedure); e. g., ratio belli gerendi". That's why I chose it. However, I don't know whether the mathematical terminus technicus is different, so I would be grateful if you could tell me when it is indeed. Thanks for any necessary corrections on my texts in general! --Ahib 08:26, 9 Maii 2008 (UTC) |

:I meant "the system previously given" - terribly sorry, I forgot the "a" at the end and will correct it immediately! --Ahib 08:26, 9 Maii 2008 (UTC) |
