I bet you can't write a real article about [[:en:Igloo|Igloos]]. [[Usor:Montivagus|Montivagus]] 00:02, 27 Octobris 2007 (UTC)

:Well, nice try, in parts. I'm sure if you wanted to make something acceptable you could. It can be fun to translate (part of) an English Wikipedia article (or another language) into Latin, even if you lack expertise in the subject matter. Emendatio ex 23:33, 27 Octobris 2007

Dear Rex Nebrascorum, we are trying to create an encyclopedia here, and we wish to include verifiable facts only. Please refrain from adding freely invented "information."

If you wish to write jokes, please do so at http://uncyclopedia.org/, but not here. Thank you. --UV 21:18, 26 Octobris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The latin version is here: http://uncapaedia.wikia.com/wiki/Pagina_prima --Rafaelgarcia 06:59, 27 Octobris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Salve Rex

I bet you can't write a real article about Igloos. Montivagus 00:02, 27 Octobris 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I respond

The Transoceanic brige is much more exciting (et facta principaliter nive! Non estne magnificus?.)

When you say "real", I assume you mean "not containing facts about Eskimos who migrated to Nebraska and battled whales, savages and oxen." That could pose a challenge. The Nebraskan eskimos (a staggeringly popular topic) are my one real area of expertise.

What is the latin word for Igloo I wonder...

Igloo, Iglonis?

Or iglus, iglucis?

Oh, decisions, decisions...

An Update

I've decided iglus is a fourth-declension masculine noun. Let it never be said that I gave nothing back to the nurturing mother that is Vicipaedia.

AN Update: Part 2- the Reckoning

I see my igloo page was not well-recieved.

Not much of your work is, bud.--Ioscius (disp) 14:37, 27 Octobris 2007 (UTC)[reply]
